Similar to my narrated and televised Interview on this site, The Cycle of Life video is a journey from birth to ancestral passage in the masks and figures of African rituals. Accompanied only by evocative music, each piece, except a Dan judgement mask and a few seen in early field photographs, comes from my present or past inventory.

The video demonstrates the symbols of passage through key stages of life which are shared by all human cultures throughout the world. Equally ancient, we all follow the same journey, whatever our technical artifacts. What is basic, our human existence, is of the same antiquity. Welcome to the cycle of life from Africa, our ancestral home.
